Dr. Antonsen provides a unique set of expertise to the human spaceflight industry. With formal education and experience in engineering, medicine, and risk analysis and management, Dr. Antonsen has combined these domains, maintaining active practice in each for over a decade. He has operational experience with the StrateX and Stratos high altitude skydives. He guided award winning research and development for NASA’s Human Research Program, designing and developing Crew Health and Performance Systems for exploration missions to the moon and Mars.

He has served as faculty at Baylor College of Medicine Department of Emergency Medicine and Center for Space Medicine and Harvard Medical School and lectured at MIT. He is an attending physician at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA and Ben Taub General Hospital in Houston, TX. He has taught emergency medicine, space medicine, aerospace physiology and life support systems, and more. He has been an invited speaker at over 20 international forums.
